Small independent pub group requires a Head chef to lead their team in a newly opened Gastro pub in Sutton Coldfield. The ideal candidate will oversee the kitchen operations, develop and cost menus, lead their team ensuring the highest quality and standards are delivered at all times.
ASH is a newly formed brand specialising in fresh local produce, with a emphasis on Dry aged beef cooked over coal.
Responsibilities:
- Work alongside company directors to develop and cost new menus
- Lead and manage team.
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene and health and safety regulations
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as required
- Work alongside General Manager to deliver a high level of service at all times.
Skills / Experience :
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or a Senior Sous chef ready to step up for their next challenge.
- Strong culinary skills with expertise in fresh food.
- Leadership abilities to motivate and manage kitchen staff effectively
- Excellent organisational skills to coordinate kitchen operations efficiently
- In-depth knowledge of kitchen best practices and cooking techniques
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced restaurant environment
