We are seeking a talented and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering high quality food in a fast paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and preparation, demonstrating excellent leadership and team management skills. This role requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality, while fostering a positive and productive kitchen environment.
Duties
Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
Supervise and train kitchen staff, promoting teamwork and collaboration.
Develop and design innovative menus that reflect great pub food.
Manage food production processes, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimising waste.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment.
Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
Maintain a positive atmosphere in the kitchen, encouraging creativity and professional growth among team members.
Experience
Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role within the hospitality industry.
Strong culinary skills with extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques.
Demonstrated experience in supervising kitchen staff and managing teams effectively.
In-depth understanding of food safety standards and regulations.
Previous experience in a busy, fast paced pub settings is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
A passion for cooking and creating delicious pub food.
