Overview

Our New site in Burton-in-Kendal will open on the 10/09/25 and we are looking for a skilled Head Chef that is able to join us in opening this site with a fine dining menu as well as all the pub classics.

We are seeking a talented and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and elevate our culinary offerings. The ideal candidate will possess a wealth of culinary experience, demonstrating exceptional leadership and team management skills. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing food production, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for both staff and guests. Responsibilities

Supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service. Oversee all aspects of food production, from menu planning to presentation. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with regulations. Collaborate with the management team to develop innovative menus that reflect current trends. Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment. Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling food costs effectively. Ensure consistent quality in all dishes served, maintaining the restaurant's reputation for excellence. Handle any customer feedback or complaints with professionalism and care.

Experience

Proven supervisory experience within a kitchen environment. Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food preparation and cooking techniques. Demonstrated ability in team management, fostering collaboration among kitchen staff. Solid understanding of food safety regulations and best practices. Previous restaurant experience is essential, with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others in high-pressure situations.
