We're now looking for a talented and commercially-minded
Head Chef
to lead our kitchen team and take our food offering to the next level.
Key Responsibilities:
Menu Development:
Design and deliver a seasonal, creative menu that reflects our brand and appeals to our customers, balancing innovation with crowd-pleasing classics.
Gross Profit Management:
Ensure all dishes are costed accurately and consistently meet gross profit targets, through effective stock control, portion management, and supplier negotiations.
Kitchen Leadership:
Lead, manage and inspire a small team of chefs, ensuring high standards of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene at all times.
Stock & Ordering:
Oversee all aspects of stock management, ordering, and waste reduction, using your knowledge of margins to drive profitability.
Compliance & Safety:
Maintain all health & safety, food hygiene, and allergen regulations, keeping the kitchen fully compliant and audit-ready.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the General Manager and front-of-house team to ensure a seamless and efficient service.
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a high-volume gastropub or similar environment.
Strong understanding of food costings, gross profit margins, and kitchen financials.
Creative flair with a passion for delivering consistently excellent food.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
A proactive and hands-on approach with strong attention to detail.
Relevant food hygiene and safety qualifications.
