We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in a fast paced pub restaurant.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for food production, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety. As the Head Chef, you will play a pivotal role in managing kitchen operations, supervising staff, and maintaining a harmonious environment that fosters teamwork and creativity.

Duties

Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation. Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to food safety regulations and best practices. Develop and design innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and culinary trends. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen. Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction. Monitor food production processes to maintain quality control and consistency. Implement cost-control measures while maintaining high-quality food standards.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role within a restaurant setting. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in culinary arts. Exceptional team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire staff. Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure. A passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding dining experiences. Culinary qualifications or relevant certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
