Typically 45 hours a week - Wednesday-Sunday 7:30am-4:30pm + bi-weekly deep cleans and sporadic evening events. (Very attractive hours, very little evening work across the calendar year)
We are seeking a talented and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. As the Head Chef, you will play a pivotal role in menu development, team management, and ensuring the overall success of our restaurant.
Responsibilities
Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
Lead and manage the kitchen team, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow.
Develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while meeting customer preferences.
Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards throughout all food preparation processes.
Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food handling, and safety protocols.
Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction.
Implement cost control measures to optimise food production without compromising quality.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role within the hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation.
Excellent culinary skills with a passion for creating high-quality dishes.
Demonstrated ability to manage a team effectively, fostering a positive work environment.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
A creative mindset with an eye for detail in food presentation.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant's schedule.
