Job Description

We are looking for a Head Chef to join our team at our busy coastal pub. The person we are looking for will be creative, innovative, and hard working, with a determination to succeed. You will enjoy working with fresh, locally sourced produce and you will keep up with the current trends in order to drive the food aspect of our busness forward. You will be able to put your own mark on the menu with free reign over daily specials and as much input on menu writing as you would like. You will be a forward thinking person who can hit the ground running to joing our existing kitchen team.

Main Responsibilities:

Manage daily food preparation and kitchen duties with the kitchen team to meet the standard and the quality of food we expect Ensure that the highest of standards of food quality, service and cleanliness are achieved Communicate knowledge of the products to all relevant personnel, with full awareness of recipes and methods of production. Assist the head chef in the running of the kitchen and being responsible for the output Ensure that production, preparation and presentation of food are of the highest quality The ability to follow instruction and work on your own initiative Maintain the highest standards of hygiene and work to the EHO guidelines

Criteria

5/6 days per week Ability to work under pressure Positive can-do attitude Attention to detail, with ability to follow high standards
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From 16.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
