We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation and production, coupled with excellent leadership and team management skills. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring food safety standards are met, and delivering innovative menus that reflect our commitment to quality and hospitality.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the kitchen team, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
Supervise food preparation and cooking processes to ensure high-quality dishes are consistently produced.
Deliver creative menus that highlight seasonal ingredients and cater to diverse dietary needs.
Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards within the kitchen.
Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies, minimising waste and weekly stocktakes.
Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food safety practices, and operational procedures.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction.
Monitor kitchen performance metrics and implement improvements as necessary.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar culinary leadership role within the hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary trends, and food safety regulations.
Exceptional team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen operations.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
A passion for cooking and creativity in menu development is essential.
Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are preferred but not mandatory.
