Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality and restaurant management, with a flair for culinary creativity. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and safety, while also mentoring and supervising kitchen staff.

Duties

Lead and manage the kitchen team to ensure efficient food preparation and service. Ensure all food safety regulations are strictly adhered to, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment. Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and minimising waste. Train and supervise kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food presentation, and hygiene practices. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery. Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure it meets the restaurant's standards. Handle any customer feedback or complaints regarding food quality or service.

Skills

Proven experience in a Head Chef or similar role within a restaurant setting. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills. Excellent leadership abilities with experience in supervising kitchen staff. In-depth understanding of food safety regulations and best practices. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards. Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with team members and customers. A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering an outstanding dining experience.
