As part of an exciting new project, we are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Head Chef to establish and lead our kitchen in delivering restaurant-quality, high-end food. This is a rare opportunity to start from scratch, develop a distinctive culinary concept, and shape a fine dining experience that rivals the best in the region.
The successful candidate will have full creative control over the menu, with the freedom to design dishes that emphasize quality, seasonality, and innovation. We're looking for someone with a passion for gastronomy and the ambition to create a standout food identity within our soon-to-launch establishment.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and execute a high-quality restaurant menu with a focus on creativity, flavour, and presentation
Source top-tier, seasonal ingredients and establish relationships with local suppliers
Lead all aspects of kitchen operations including food prep, cooking, and plating
Ensure exceptional standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety at all times
Recruit, train, and manage kitchen staff as the team expands
Maintain budgetary control over food costs and kitchen supplies
Continuously refine and evolve the menu based on feedback and culinary trends
Uphold an inspiring and professional kitchen culture from day one
Essential Criteria:
Proven experience as a chef in a high-quality or fine dining restaurant
Excellent culinary skills with a strong sense of creativity and plating aesthetics
Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (or higher)
Extensive knowledge of food safety, allergen protocols, and kitchen compliance
Ability to lead and inspire a team in a new and growing business
Willingness to undergo a basic DBS check
Desirable Criteria:
Menu development from concept to delivery
Experience setting up kitchen operations from scratch
Strong relationships with local or specialty food suppliers
Budget and cost control experience
Ability to contribute to the branding and food identity of the venue

Pay: 26,707.09-43,879.73 per year
