Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrician specialising in Renewables. This pivotal role involves leading electrical installation projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and overseeing the technical aspects of solar PV systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical work, mechanical knowledge, and hands-on experience within the renewables market.

You will work side by side with the director with an aim to take over the day to day running of the installation side of the business.

This will become a hybrid role, you will do a few installations a week and some work from home or on the road days.

You will become the port of call for our onsite installation engineers and our long term clients.

Duties

Lead and supervise the installation, maintenance, and repair of solar PV systems on-site. Oversee electrical wiring, connections, and testing to ensure system integrity and safety. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure timely project completion. Conduct inspections to verify compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations. Troubleshoot electrical issues using mechanical knowledge and electrical experience to resolve problems efficiently. Ensure all work adheres to relevant regulations and working practices. Mentor junior team members and oversee quality control throughout the project lifecycle. compile job files of photographic evidence and electrical certifications. Complete relevant apps and documents to provide handovers to our clients.

Skills

Proven experience as a Electrician within the solar PV or renewable energy sector. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics. Strong understanding of electrical regulations and wiring system design. Electrical experience including wiring, circuit testing, fault diagnosis, and system commissioning. Knowledge of relevant electrical codes, safety standards, and best practices in solar PV installations. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively. Good organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation and reporting. Relevant certifications such as ECS Card or equivalent are desirable. This role is integral to advancing renewable energy projects through expert electrical leadership and technical proficiency in solar PV systems.
Guidance and training is always available.

Must be fully qualified and experienced in renewables. The main brands we fit are Sunsynk, Tesla, Duracell, Fox ect.

level 3 18th Edition 2391 or equivalent Solar PV Battery storage (Preferred) EV course (Preferred)
