With a proud tradition of excellence and a forward-thinking approach to sustainability and member experience, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Course Superintendent to lead our course maintenance and development.

Role Overview

As Course Superintendent, you will be responsible for the presentation, playability, and long-term health of the golf course. You will lead a dedicated team and oversee all aspects of turf care, machinery maintenance, and environmental stewardship--including the management of our cutting-edge fleet of robotic mowers.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and inspire the greenkeeping team to deliver consistently high standards across all playing surfaces. Plan and execute daily, weekly, and seasonal maintenance schedules in line with agronomic best practices. Oversee machinery maintenance, workshop operations, and equipment safety protocols. Implement sustainable practices to reduce energy, water, and chemical usage while enhancing biodiversity. Collaborate with the General Manager on course improvement projects, budgeting, and strategic planning. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, risk assessments, and staff training. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, weather conditions, and turf performance. Liaise with members, committees, and contractors to support club events and course enhancements.
Robotic Mower Management

Program and schedule autonomous mowing routines to align with course usage and weather conditions. Manage and monitor a fleet of robotic mowers, ensuring optimal performance, maintenance repair and programming, and integration with traditional turf care. Monitor GPS tracking, performance data, and battery health to ensure uninterrupted operation. Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate with suppliers for updates and servicing. Integrate robotic mowing with manual operations to maintain aesthetic and agronomic standards.
Essential Skills & Experience

Proven experience as a Head or Deputy Greenkeeper at a reputable golf facility. NVQ Level 2 Sports Turf Management (or equivalent). Strong knowledge of turf science, irrigation systems, and machinery operation. Experience with robotic mowing systems or a strong aptitude for technology and innovation. Excellent leadership, communication, and planning skills. PA1, PA2, PA6 spraying certificates. Full UK driving licence. Budgetary controls and financial acumen Computer literate, email, MS Office, and have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Pay: 30,000.00-40,000.00 per year
