Job Description

Falkirk Golf Club are now seeking a Head Greenkeeper who is passionate about their work. The successful candidate will be responsible for general maintenance of the golf course and other outdoor areas. This role requires effective leadership skills, good knowledge of turf management and the ability to successfully manage a team of greenkeepers and demonstrate great leadership and commitment.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out routine golf course maintenance duties to a high standard

Operate a wide range of turf care equipment and machinery safely

Assist in course preparation for competitions and events

Undertake renovations and project work as required

Always manage all health & safety procedures

Skills

Previous experience in greenkeeping or turf maintenance

Current supervisory/management role (deputy head or similar)

NVQ/SVQ Level 3 or above

PA1, PA2, PA6 spraying certificates (advantageous)

Chainsaw certificate (advantageous)

Good timekeeping, reliability, and a strong work ethic

Good Management Skills to work with our small team of Greenkeepers

Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings and weekends

The ability to prepare fertiliser and spraying programs

Strong mechanical knowledge with experience using hand tools and power tools

Knowledge of irrigation systems and their maintenance requirements.

Ability to perform general maintenance tasks effectively.
