EA & JA Hiscock LTD is a family-owned organic dairy business milking 1300 cows over 4 separate units. This role is within one of our Autumn block herds started in 2018 milking 340 cows. A newly built 20:40 parlour with ACRs and individual feeding. Nedap collar system for heat detection and health along with automatic seg gate. A grass-based system with a well-set up platform, a large network of tracks, grass measuring weekly and strip feeding. Cubicle housed and tmr fed during winter in a modern facility.
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated herdsperson to work alongside the farm manager in the running of the dairy operations. The person will need to be able to handle the routine milking, health, fertility and grazing of an autumn block herd. They will be working with an assistant herdsperson and farm manager to meet targets and progress the herd forward.
In return, we will offer a very competitive wage package based on experience. There is a newly renovated 3 bedroom bungalow with a large garden, located in the village joining the farm included rent and council tax free.
