Rabble luxury boutique hotel in Edinburgh's New Town adopts a rough-luxe concept where our ten rooms provide the utmost of comfort, combined with an effortlessly cool stylishness.We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Housekeeper to lead our housekeeping team in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hospitality within our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hotel operations and demonstrate exceptional leadership skills. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all guest rooms and public areas are impeccably presented, contributing to an outstanding guest experience.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard. Train, supervise, and motivate housekeeping staff to deliver exceptional service. Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards. Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock levels. Develop and implement cleaning schedules that optimise efficiency while ensuring thorough cleanliness. Address any guest complaints or requests promptly and professionally. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery throughout the hotel. Maintain health and safety standards within the housekeeping department, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Experience

Previous hotel experience is essential, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role within housekeeping. Strong background in hospitality with a focus on customer service excellence. Janitorial experience is highly desirable, demonstrating familiarity with cleaning techniques and products. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Strong leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and develop a team. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Good communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective interaction with staff and guests alike.
