We are looking for an experienced and motivated

Head Housekeeper

to lead our housekeeping department at

The George Hotel, Lichfield

. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proven housekeeping professional with strong leadership skills to take ownership of maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction throughout the hotel.

As Head Housekeeper, you will manage the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping team, ensure smooth coordination with other departments, and drive exceptional service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, motivate, and manage the housekeeping team to deliver consistently high standards Oversee daily cleaning operations in all bedrooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces Manage staff rotas, workloads, and performance to ensure efficiency and quality Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and control budgets effectively Recruit, train, and develop housekeeping staff, ensuring high levels of engagement and performance Conduct regular inspections to maintain brand standards and compliance with health and safety policies Work closely with other departments to support the overall guest experience

Ideal Candidate

Proven experience as a Head Housekeeper or in a supervisory role within a hotel or similar environment Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards Strong organisational and leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and busy periods as required
