Invermark - Seasonal Head Housekeeper

Dalhousie Estates are seeking a temporary LIVE IN Head Housekeeper responsible for Invermark Lodge located at the head of Glenesk in Angus. The role requires an experienced, pro-active individual who can oversee others and lead a team to deliver a high standard of service to guests.

Term July to October

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Housekeeper to lead our housekeeping team in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organisation within our establishment. As the Head Housekeeper, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all guest areas are immaculate and welcoming, contributing to an exceptional hospitality experience. This position requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a passion for the hospitality industry.

Responsibilities



Oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard. Manage and train housekeeping staff, providing guidance and support to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures. Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities to maintain cleanliness and organisation. Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures that optimise efficiency while maintaining quality. Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to ensure adequate stock. Address any guest concerns or complaints regarding cleanliness promptly and professionally. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery for guests. Maintain health and safety standards within the housekeeping department.

Experience



Previous experience in a housekeeping role within the hotel or hospitality industry is essential. Proven leadership skills with experience managing a team preferred. Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of cleaning products, techniques, and equipment is advantageous.
