Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Head Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen environment, ensuring smooth operations and high standards of hygiene. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining experience within the hospitality sector, particularly in food preparation, cooking, and restaurant service. Prior kitchen or hospitality experience is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

Leading on cleanliness standards across all back of house areas Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, and pans to uphold hygiene standards Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision Supporting chefs with ingredient organisation and stock replenishment Maintaining cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment throughout shifts Ensuring waste is disposed of correctly and bins are regularly emptied Assisting with the organisation of storage areas to ensure safety and efficiency Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times to maintain a safe working environment

Skills

Basic understanding of food preparation and kitchen operations Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Good organisational skills with attention to detail Willingness to learn new skills related to cooking and hospitality services Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or culinary setting is desirable but not mandatory Strong team player with excellent communication skills Flexibility to work shifts as required, including evenings and weekends if necessary

Pay: 12.21-15.50 per hour
