Job Summary:
The Head Kitchen Porter will oversee the kitchen porter team, ensuring the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and related areas. This role is crucial in maintaining high standards of hygiene and efficiency in the kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of the kitchen porter team.
Ensure all kitchen areas, including equipment and utensils, are cleaned and sanitized according to health and safety standards.
Follow all HASSAP guidelines.
Assist in the training and development of kitchen porters.
Manage the inventory of cleaning supplies and kitchen equipment.
Ensure waste is disposed of properly and recycling procedures are followed.
Support the kitchen team with basic food preparation tasks as needed.
Maintain a positive and productive work environment.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a similar role within a hotel or restaurant setting.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
