We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Head Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the kitchen operations, leading the team of KP's to ensure the highest levels of cleanliness, and assisting with food preparation. This position is perfect for individuals looking to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced culinary environment.

Duties

Ordering of chemicals and cleaning products Producing the KP rota for the Exec chef Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and pans. Assist chefs with food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables and preparing ingredients. Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained to the highest standards. Help with the storage of food items and supplies, ensuring proper stock rotation. Support the cooking team during busy service periods by providing timely assistance. Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Producing and implementing weekly deep cleaning tasks and ensuring they are carried out to a high standard.

Skills

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred. Familiarity with food preparation techniques and basic cooking skills is advantageous. Strong organisational skills with an ability to work efficiently under pressure. Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude. A passion for hospitality and a desire to learn within the culinary field. Experience in hotel or culinary environments will be considered a plus. Pay: 12.21-13.00 per hour
