Our client is a dynamic and growing SME residential block management business. Dedicated to providing exceptional property management services, they are a stand-out within the industry and their commitment to excellent customer service helps them separate from their competitors.
Due to recent growth they are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Finance who is ideally ACCA, CIMA, or ACA qualified to join their leadership team.
Position Overview:
The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping financial strategy, managing budgets, and ensuring the company's growth objectives are hit. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant to take on a strategic and hands-on role in a growth-oriented company.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's overall objectives.
  • Leading a team of a Service Charge function
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support key decision-making processes.
  • Oversee the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with organisational goals.
  • Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports to the executive team and stakeholders.
  • Monitor and analyse financial performance against budget, providing variance analysis and actionable insights.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Cash Flow Management:
  • Manage cash flow effectively to support daily operations and long-term financial stability.
  • Identify opportunities and financial risks related to potential new clients and projects, implementing measures to mitigate potential issues.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and economic factors that may impact the business.
  • Lead and continue to develop the finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, encouraging professional development.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align financial goals with overall business objectives.
  • Communicate financial insights and recommendations to non-financial stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner.
Candidate Requirements:
  • ACCA, CIMA, or ACA qualification is preferred.
  • Proven experience in a senior finance position within the real estate sector is essential.
  • Strong understanding of residential block management is highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Team lead experience is preferred
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills with an ability to collaborate with senior leaders across the organisation.
