YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE
This role sits at the intersection of strategy,operations and delivery. You'll help identify with the Operations Director where AI (and broader automation or tooling) can drive efficiency and smarter ways of working -- and you'll lead the internal AI innovation pipeline that brings those solutions to life.
You'll manage use case prioritisation and delivery from our
Data Innovation Team
which sits within our Apollo Department, spanning both in-house AI solutions and the development of our Marketing Effectiveness tooling which remains in R&D whilst it matures.
You'll lead delivery, not theory and help shape how AI becomes embedded in the way Medialab works. You'll also be a leader of our Internal AI Board, and report regularly into the Medialab Ownership Board - helping guide the strategic roadmap of our AI-first operating model.
YOUR ROLE & IMPACT:
AI Opportunity Ownership
Lead the identification of where AI can drive measurable value across Medialab, focused on efficiency, automation, knowledge access and smarter decision-making.
Partner with the Ops team to ensure full visibility of process development and tooling - owning the AI-first lens on what gets built and why.
Strategy into Scalable Solutions
Translate strategic priorities into a clear, high-impact innovation roadmap.
Collaborate with Ops, Product, and Engineering to shape and deliver solutions, with clear ownership of the innovation pipeline.
Bridge business needs and technical delivery to drive projects from idea to adoption at pace.
Product Thinking & Internal Enablement
Apply lean product thinking to internal tooling and solutions: validate problems, test quickly, measure impact, and iterate.
Ensure tools are adopted and embedded across teams - not just launched and left behind.
Champion a culture of AI upskilling, delivering high-impact training content (live or on-demand) that helps every employee stay ahead, get hands-on, and use AI meaningfully in their day-to-day work.
Partner Management
Lead Medialab's strategic innovation partnerships, ensuring they deliver value aligned with our business priorities.
Coordinate internal teams to embed external partner projects and capabilities into our ways of working.
Team Leadership & Delivery Oversight
Lead delivery of Medialab's AI internal innovation roadmap- setting direction, unblocking work, and ensuring tangible outcomes.
Line manage solution delivery through ourData Innovation Manager and their two-person graduate team. Work closely with the Head of Engineering, who owns the technical build and architecture.
Use your AI-fluency and user-native perspective to meaningfully contribute to design discussions with the innovation team that will deliver any in-house solutions.
Oversee the evolution of Marketing Effectiveness tooling within Apollo - with a view to maturing, scaling or transitioning into core engineering in time.
Build a high-performance culture around fast experimentation, measurable impact and smart delivery.
Strategic Leadership & Visibility
Sit on Medialab's Internal AI Board, shaping agency-wide priorities and driving alignment.
Provide regular reporting and strategic updates to the Medialab Ownership Board, surfacing impact, blockers and opportunities.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE:
Technical Skills (Essential):
Extensive experience in senior innovation, product, transformation, or operational delivery roles, ideally in tech-led, media or high-growth environments.
A passionate advocate for AI and automation, an early adopter with strong awareness of traditional and generative AI, and how they apply in real-world business contexts.
Proven experience designing, delivering and embedding AI-powered solutions or automations to drive operational and commercial impact.
Delivery-focused - with strong project management instincts and the ability to move from concept to execution at pace.
Able to communicate confidently with both technical teams and business leaders, acting as a translator between strategic goals and solution build.
Experienced in cross-functional leadership, working across data, tech, ops and client-facing teams.
Clear, commercially minded and credible, with the ability to influence senior internal and external stakeholders.
