Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of BIM to lead our Building Information Modeling (BIM) initiatives. This role is crucial for enhancing our design and construction processes through innovative modeling techniques. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge in various software applications and a strong background in mechanical design, drafting, and construction practices. As the Head of BIM, you will oversee the BIM team, ensuring the integration of advanced technologies and methodologies to optimize project delivery.

Duties

Lead and manage the BIM team, providing guidance and support in all aspects of Building Information Modeling. Develop and implement BIM strategies that align with project goals and company objectives. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure effective integration of BIM into project workflows. Utilize software tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, NavisWorks, MicroStation, SketchUp, Civil 3D, SolidWorks, and CAD to create detailed models and schematics. Oversee the production of 2D animations and visualizations to enhance project presentations. Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in BIM execution. Conduct training sessions for team members on new tools and methodologies related to BIM. Monitor project progress and performance metrics related to BIM implementation.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a leadership role within a BIM environment or related field. Proficiency in key software applications including Revit, AutoCAD, NavisWorks, SketchUp, Civil 3D, MicroStation, SolidWorks, and CAD. Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and construction processes. Excellent drafting skills with the ability to create accurate schematics. Familiarity with 2D animation techniques is a plus. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. Pay: 60,000.00-90,000.00 per year

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Belfast BT5
