You are able to work tactically and think strategically as the business rapidly scales. You understand how integral you are to the success and future of DigiHaul and the part you play in transforming the transport industry.


Head of Business Development Responsibilities:




Establish, manage and grow relationships with C-Suite & Director Levels across key industries, sectors and clients to achieve growth of the DigiHaul business.


Develop, shape and deliver the strategy & commercial offering for the DigiHaul business amidst a fast-moving and competitive landscape. This includes identifying and securing strategic partnerships that best enable growth.


Develop the DigiHaul product offering and the value props associated.


Establish a clear go to market strategy to develop the DigiHaul pipeline. This needs to include clear reporting on insights to understand our performance and ultimately ROI.


Work with Marketing on providing guidance regarding the website development and acting on any lead generation through the website or SEO advertising.


Own the CRM and ensure pipeline and opportunity compliance to establish best practice WoW. This needs to include reporting on all pipeline to the relevant internal stakeholders.


Represent DigiHaul (Where Required) in industry stakeholder engagement and at events


Stay current on market developments, identifying new regulation/legislation and industry trends, products, developments in the markets, and new revenue opportunities and how they affect clients.


Inspires customers and gains their commitment.


Establishes clear, challenging, and achievable targets.


Aligns resources and the organisation to achieve objectives.


Regularly reviews and communicates progress against objectives and adjusts as needed.


Inspires and aligns the organisation to make the strategy a reality.


Identifies likely questions/ concerns from customer; supports preparation of negotiation strategies under direction of senior business leaders; contributes to commercial discussion with customer positively.


Managing a team, providing them regular feedback, and supporting their development opportunities.


Inspires results and respect through empowerment, accountability recognition and rewards.


Gains organisational alignment and support for customer needs.


Maintains a visionary perspective pertaining to strategy.


Develops, commercialises, and delivers high quality / innovative services and solutions.


What do you need to be a Head of Business Development?




Minimum of 10 years working in logistics commercial roles


Previous experience of working in a sales/commercial environment is a necessity


Educated to degree standard or relevant industry experience


Structured and organised, able to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines.


Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills, and a proficient user of Microsoft Office, preferably with advanced knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, ADOBE and Excel.
