HEAD OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT (MOBILE COMMS) - DORSET - PERMANENT - UP TO \xc2\xa3100,000 DoE

ARM are working with a Global Engineering firm that are looking for a Head of Business Development to join the experienced Mobile Comms team in Dorset. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a very successful part of the business, with potential to grown and develop the area all while working on some of the biggest rail infrastructure projects worldwide.

About You:
You will be an experienced Sales or BD professional, with a background in Mobile Comms or Telecoms. This will include:

  • Successful track record in value-based selling and business development.
  • Creative & Strategic thinker.
  • Commercially astute with high integrity.
  • Highly driven, self-motivated, agile and resilient.
  • Strong influencing skills with credibility at Board level internally and externally.
  • Good degree of mobility to spend time away from the office base in Dorset as required (c40%).
  • Proven high-value sales experience in technology.
  • Good awareness of Software, Hardware and communications in daily use would be beneficial but specific market training will be given.
  • Customer-focused attitude.
  • Degree qualified or equivalent experience in a technically related discipline would be highly beneficial.
  • International experience would be helpful, especially of working with different cultures in a large corporate environment.
  • Occasional international travel will be required with this role so a current passport will be required with this position. International travel is usually limited to 2-3 days per trip.
What you will be doing:
  • The Mobile Communications business has a dedicated team serving the global market for rail and metro communications, developing the next generation of 5G products and applications maximising the potential for our customers as bandwidth explodes.
  • This role is a key senior management team position and will be responsible for the Sale, Marketing and Bidding activity of the Mobile Comms business, supported by the wider organisation where needed.
  • This is a strategic role so doesn\'t necessarily deal with day-to-day sales but will be a mixture of bidding for new work/projects and clients as well as managing key stakeholders within existing clientele to expand business opportunities.
This is a full-time permanent role based from the office in Dorset on a hybrid basis with regular travel to other offices and client sites when required. The successful candidate will be expected to organise their diary and availability in the office accordingly.

What you can expect in return:
  • Salary up to \xc2\xa3100,000 DoE
  • Car allowance equivalent to circa \xc2\xa36,500 per year
  • 15% on-target bonus scheme
  • Matched pension scheme up to 10%
  • 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing to 29 with length of service
