At Millennium Support, we are looking for a new

Head of Business Development

to help us spread our wings and engage with new communities.



Location: This is a hybrid role, requiring 2 days per week from one of our sites (we have offices in Wakefield and Coventry).



Salary: from 70,000 PA (dependent upon experience).



Contract type: Full-time (37.5 hours per week), Permanent.



We're on the lookout for a strategic, values driven leader to join us as our Head of Business Development! Reporting to our Chief Operating Officer, this is a pivotal role to our growth in which you will lead the growth of our adult social care services, identifying new opportunities, enhancing existing provision and ensuring our services remain both impactful and sustainable.



You will do more than drive the organisation. You will be part of a culture that believes in working With Not For - empowering people to achieve for themselves, not just delivering services to them.



What you'll be doing:




Leading on the design and delivery of a forward thinking business development strategy that is rooted in our vision and values. Building inclusive relationships and working together with commissioners, ICSs, local authorities to create new opportunities and access. Identifying and winning new business through tenders, frameworks and strategic partnerships, ensuring that every opportunity is aligned with who we are and what we stand for. Managing a visible and data driven pipeline of opportunities, with a clear focus on developing the potential of both the People We Employ and the People We Support in our services. Shaping offers that balance high-quality support with financial viability, working responsively with operations to meet emerging needs. Driving referrals and improving occupancy by strengthening referral pathways and minimising service voids, so that more people can receive the right support in the right way. Representing the organisation at events and networks, advocating for our mission and reputation. Championing co-production, ensuring People We Support are meaningfully involved in shaping new services and developments.


What you'll bring




Proven experience leading business development functions in the adult social care sector, or a closely related sector. In depth knowledge of public sector commissioning, procurement processes and funding models. Strong operational awareness of supported living or residential support services. A commercially astute mindset grounded in ethical, values based decision-making. Outstanding communication and influencing skills with the ability to build trust and obtain secure buy-in across diverse stakeholders. Experience writing high-impact proposals and managing opportunities from idea, through to mobilisation. A level 7 or above in a management qualification. A commitment to making a difference, not just growing services, but transforming lives. A UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
