Are you a passionate and experienced care leader ready to take the next step in your career? We are seeking a dynamic Head of Care to support the effective running of our children's home and undertake Responsible Individual (RI) duties.
About the Role
As Head of Care, you will play a key role in the day-to-day leadership of the home. You'll ensure that young people receive nurturing, safe, and high-quality care aligned with their individual needs and development goals. You will also ensure the home meets and exceeds all Ofsted and Children's Homes Regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead safeguarding and promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement
Fulfil RI duties ensuring compliance with the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015
Supervise and develop staff, maintaining a motivated and capable care team
Champion the voice of the child and support their personal development and aspirations
Engage with key stakeholders including Ofsted, families, and local authorities
What We're Looking For:
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
Minimum 3 years' leadership experience in a residential children's home
Strong safeguarding knowledge and experience leading safeguarding concerns
Full UK driving licence
Emotional resilience, strong communication, and excellent leadership skills
Desirable:
Experience acting as or working closely with a Responsible Individual
Proven record of achieving "Good" or "Outstanding" Ofsted ratings
Understanding of trauma-informed care
