HEAD OF CHILDCARE



Hours of work:



Weekdays between 7.30-18.00

Total 40 hours per week

There will be occasions where work is required early mornings and evenings.

This is a full time role.



Premier Education are working collaboratively with primary schools to deliver exceptional before and after school care that is innovative, inspiring and above all a safe environment for all in our care. Your role will be to provide activities in a safe, secure and fun environment, providing an outstanding service for busy parents.

Premier Education successfully run full Wraparound provision in 9 primary schools and Holiday Camps in 4 locations in the South Hampshire area alongside numerous PE and After School Club contracts. Our Premier Wraparound centres are Ofsted registered and can provide high quality out of school care for the parents. With this in mind we are looking for an outstanding applicant with experience to lead across all of our venues and line manage our setting leads. This job is to be the most senior team member in the organisation, only reporting to the Director.

As Head of Childcare you will be responsible for many aspects of the day to day running of the company and you will have huge scope to be able to build a pivotal role that impacts 1000s of children across the area. This is a unique role in the sector and we are looking for an outstanding candidate with a passion for childcare and business to help us grow in 2025 and beyond.

This is a hybrid role with WFH elements built in alongside our office space and our club settings.

We are looking for:



-Individuals that love working with children, are resilient and passionate about making a difference and seeing children thrive

-Individuals with OFSTED experience, either directly or indirectly

-Enthusiastic, kind well-motivated individuals

-A problem solver

-Ability to manage a small team and lead on training and development of staff

-You must be a team player that is reliable and confident working collaboratively with all members of the community.

-Relationship manager and key point of contact for our headteachers and schools, including leading review and quarterly meetings

-Have high personal expectations and dedication to achieve the best with the children we care for

-Have management experience

-Attention to detail

-Ability to plan ahead and structure your time effectively

The successful candidate will need to:



-Have good Literacy and Numeracy skills

-Have high level communication skills

-Have an extensive knowledge of the OFSTED framework (training provided)

Desirable:



-Appropriate Level 3 (or above) qualification (Child Care related)

-Experience of working within a play-based or school setting

-Managed a team previously

-Ability to work on own initiative

-Appropriate child protection training

-Current 12-hour Paediatric First Aid Certificate (desirable)

-Food Hygiene Certificate (desirable)

-Level 2 sports qualification (desirable)

-Level 3 DSL Qualification (desirable)

Interviews:



Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview W/C 22nd September, this will initially be online. A second stage interview will take place for those that progress, this will be in person.
