Summary

We are seeking a confident and experienced Residential Conveyancing Solicitor to take on a leadership position as Head of Residential Conveyancing. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven legal professional with strong management skills and a passion for property law to lead a busy and growing department across three sites. We are seeking someone who is ambitious as the suuccesful applicant has a potenial for future partnership. As Head of Residential Conveyancing, you will be instrumental in managing and developing the department while continuing to deliver high-quality legal services across a wide range of residential property transactions.

Responsibilities

o Lead and oversee the Residential Conveyancing department, ensuring service excellence and operational efficiency Manage a varied caseload of residential transactions including:
Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases;
Remortgages;
Transfers of equity;
New build transactions;
Shared ownership and help-to-buy schemes;

Supervise and support junior team members, promoting a positive and collaborative working environment Develop and implement strategies for departmental growth and improved service delivery Engage in business development and marketing activities to raise the department's profile Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain a strong claims and risk management record Represent the firm at professional events and networking opportunities Contribute to the firm's wider leadership team and strategic direction

Requirements

o A qualified solicitor with 5+ years' PQE and extensive experience in residential conveyancing Proven team management or leadership experience A valid UK driver's licence Strong understanding of compliance, risk, and best practices A proactive approach to business development--bringing a client following is advantageous Excellent communication, organisation, and client care skills Willingness to take on a Senior Responsible Officer (SRO) role Primarily office-based role with some flexibility for hybrid working
