Head of Electrical - Solar

to lead our electrical engineering team and ensure the successful delivery of solar projects.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the electrical engineering team across both design and installation functions. Oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of solar PV systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Collaborate with mechanical and digital teams to deliver integrated solar solutions. Develop and implement safety protocols and quality assurance measures for all electrical work. Manage relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery. Provide technical support and guidance to the team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes in the solar sector.

Qualifications & Skills

Essential:

18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations. NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation. Level 3 Inspection & Testing (2391/2394/2395). Solar PV qualification (BPEC or equivalent).

Desirable:

Level 4 Design and Verification (2396). Experience in leading electrical teams within the solar industry. Strong knowledge of solar PV system design and installation. Excellent problem-solving and project management skills. Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
