Head of Finance | \xc2\xa360,000 - \xc2\xa365,000 | Private Equity Backed SME | Preston | Autonomous Role with Support from a PE Specialist FD

Our client, a prominent private equity backed SME based in Preston, are in the middle of a restructure and transformation project due to significant recent investment. The business is a high performing brand with multiple plans for expansion and is set to expand rapidly in the next few years.

The successful Head of Finance will work with a high degree of autonomy under the close mentorship of an established and successful PE specialist Finance Director. They will work hand-in-hand with a talented Managing Director and will be responsible for leading the business forwards in line with the corporate strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Business Partner with the Managing Director and assist the Finance Director with the roll out of a new structure, strategy and vision
• Manage the day-to-day running of the finance function
• Provide commercial insight, management information and business partner with non-finance stakeholders to drive performance
• Lead budgeting and planning processes with senior stakeholders
• Overhaul finance processes, accounting packs, reporting, board packs
• Implement a new ERP system
• Continuous improvement and implementation of new processes and controls
• Work with the FD to deliver ad-hoc projects around the business to add value
• Appraise new investments and assist in their integration post-acquisition

Qualifications:

• Qualified CIMA / ACCA / ACA
• At least 4 years PQE - This is an excellent role that will grow in line with the business
• Ability to work in Preston 5 days a week (potential flexibility after probation)
• Substantial industry experience, ideally within a large business
