I am delighted to be working exclusively with this forward thinking, and growing business, in their search for a Head of Finance based in Kent.

The role
You will be responsible for overseeing and managing the entire finance team and function of the company. You will work closely with the executive team, providing critical financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations of the organisation, ensuring efficient and effective financial management, and driving strategic financial decision-making to support ambitious growth plans. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of a dynamic international company and shape its financial future.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management:
  • Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to optimise financial performance and support the company\'s international growth objectives.
  • Oversee the day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting, in accordance with UK accounting standards.
  • Monitor financial performance, analyse variances, and provide regular reports and recommendations to the Managing Director, executive team, and board of directors.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant UK and international financial regulations, standards, and reporting requirements.
  • Demonstrate experience in handling international multi-currency transactions and financial operations.
  • Strategic Planning and Analysis:
  • Collaborate with the executive team and the Managing Director to develop and refine the company\'s strategic plans and long-term financial goals.
  • Develop and maintain financial forecasting models to support short-term and long-term business planning.
  • Conduct financial analysis, including cost-benefit analysis, profitability analysis, and financial modelling, to support key business decisions.
  • Financial Reporting and Controls:
  • Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analysis to the Managing Director, internal stakeholders, management, and external parties, ensuring compliance with UK financial reporting standards.
  • Maintain robust financial controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
  • Manage and mentor a small finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Set performance goals, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations for finance team members.
  • Identify training and development needs and implement initiatives to enhance the finance team\'s skills and capabilities.
  • Strategic Financial Partnerships:
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders, including UK banks, investors, and financial institutions, to establish and maintain strong relationships.
  • Lead financial negotiations and manage relationships with key suppliers, vendors, and customers to optimise financial outcomes.
About you:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (a relevant master\'s degree or professional qualification is a plus).
  • Proven experience in a senior finance role within a product manufacturing business, preferably as a Finance Manager or Head of Finance.
  • Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, financial analysis, and financial modelling.
  • Excellent knowledge of UK financial regulations, accounting principles, and reporting standards.
  • Experience in strategic planning and implementing financial strategies to support business growth in the UK market.
This is a full-time position offering circa \xc2\xa360,000 (depending on experience) fantastic benefits and the opportunity to part of an exciting and growing business.
