We are recruiting for a new Head of Housing Management to join us on a full-time, 12 month fixed term basis. This role will be home based with regular travel across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Team Meetings will be held in Peterborough or Birmingham.



Mencap delivers Housing Management services to approximately 750 tenants in 250 properties across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Following an external review of the Housing Management Function, we are looking for an individual to drive a transformation project, with experience of process improvement and delivering high quality services to our tenants.


In this role you will:


Lead and transform the housing function at Mencap, ensuring compliance with regulations. Plan and deliver the transformation - defining and delivering financial and non-financial vision, objectives and impact. Review current processes and policies to identify gaps and process improvements. Collaborate with other departments and senior leaders. Develop and implement strategic plans to improve service delivery and expand the services.
You will have:
Experience in a 'Head of' role within a Local Authority or Social Housing environment. Leadership experience in housing management within a large and complex organisation. Strong knowledge of housing legislation, tenancy management and social housing regulations. Ability to analyse performance data and implement strategic decisions. A track record of planning and delivering Housing Management transformation projects from concept to delivery. Exceptional leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate teams and drive service improvements. Chartered Institute of Housing Professional Qualification Level 5 or equivalent (desirable).
