Your primary focus will be to elevate, lead and drive our internal communications activities and campaigns to foster a sense of belonging, purpose, and collective ambition among our team members.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Strategic internal communications: Develop and execute a comprehensive internal communications strategy and schedule aligned with our organisational purpose, ambition, and strategy.
  • Internal channel strategy: Lead, develop and oversee the internal channel management strategy, ensuring our channels are optimised to effectively engage and inform our diverse multi-generational employee communities. Identify new communication tools and technology to streamline internal communications processes.
  • CEO support: Attend and track key executive meetings to ensure proper scheduling, execution, and follow-up. Compile non-financial components of board packs. Be available to assist the CEO with project support as needed.
  • CEO Communications: Collaborate with the communications team to align on essential CEO messages for broader communication efforts.
  • Strategic alignment: Maintain close involvement with the business plan, updating the plan with key projects and ensuring alignment among key stakeholders. Facilitate communication across leadership teams to keep key stakeholders informed about initiative progress.
  • Leadership briefings: Craft compelling copy for company briefings, whether delivered in-person or through film. Tailor briefings to match the distinct leadership styles and preferences of individual executives, ensuring a seamless and impactful communication experience for the audience.
  • Performance communications: Create engaging and informative communications that ensure employees understand their role in achieving our collective goals and are fully informed about how the business is tracking against those goals.
  • Culture enhancement: Create internal communications that support in building a positive and inclusive organisational culture, where employees are proud to be a part of Pentland Brands.
  • Change communications: Lead and manage the internal communications around change management initiatives, so that employees are well-informed and engaged.
  • Campaign management & content: Lead and manage internal communications campaigns that inspire enthusiasm and commitment among our colleagues globally. Create and /or edit compelling internal communications content, including newsletters, email announcements and multimedia presentations.
  • Leadership: Line manage and provide leadership and guidance to the internal communications team, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Stakeholder management: Build effective cross-functional relationships with teams across the global organisation, including the senior leadership and Executive teams. Key stakeholders include the CEO, Head of HR and Head of Change.
  • Reports, feedback & evaluation: Implement feedback mechanisms to gauge the effectiveness of internal communications. Keep us informed with insightful data analysis and impact reports, highlighting recommendations for data-driven improvements.

  • Strategic vision: A demonstrated ability to develop and execute comprehensive internal communication strategies aligned with the organisational purpose, ambition, and strategy.
  • Channel management expertise: Experience in leading, developing and optimising internal channel management strategies, including a flair for leveraging new communication tools and technology to streamline processes.
  • Senior stakeholder management: Proven expertise in building influential relationships with senior leadership, driving coordinated action through effective communication. Proficient in cross-functional stakeholder relations, including senior leadership and Executive teams, across a global organisation.
  • Engaging communication: Proficiency in creating compelling and informative communications so employees understand their roles in achieving collective goals and are well-informed about business performance.
  • Culture building: A track record of crafting internal communications that contribute to building a positive and inclusive organisational culture, fostering pride among employees.
  • Change management: Demonstrated leadership in effectively managing internal communications during change management initiatives, ensuring employee awareness and engagement.
  • Copy writing & leadership briefings: Proficient copywriting skills, adapting to diverse leadership styles, aligning with strategic objectives.
  • Campaign leadership: Proven capability to lead and manage internal communications campaigns that inspire enthusiasm and commitment among a global community. Skilled in creating and editing engaging internal communication content across various mediums.
  • Leadership skills: A history of providing leadership and guidance to internal communication teams, cultivating a culture of collaboration and innovation. Willingness to step into a leadership role and deputise for the Director of Communications when required.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Ability to implement feedback mechanisms, analyze data and generate impact reports, offering recommendations for data-driven improvements in internal communications.
  • Cultural sensitivity: An understanding of the diverse cultural nuances within our global community, coupled with the ability to customise communications that resonate effectively within these cultural contexts.
  • Adaptive communication: A flexible mindset to swiftly adapt to evolving circumstances, shifting priorities and emerging internal communication methods that cater to the unique needs of our internal audience.
  • Budget management: Ability to manage budgets and review and approve invoices in a timely manner.
  • Professional background & education: Prior experience in internal communications, ideally in a leadership or managerial capacity, is highly valuable. While not mandatory, a bachelor\'s or master\'s degree in internal communications or related disciplines is a plus.

Great News! We\xe2\x80\x99re moving to our new London Hub in Farringdon in 2024. This role will initially be based at our current London Hub in Finchley and transfer to Farringdon early 2024.
