Overview Investec Bank plc is seeking an accomplished Internal Communications Lead to actively design and drive employee communications and engagement programmes. This hands-on role ensures all activity aligns with the bank's business strategy and values, and spans the northern hemisphere with close collaboration to our teams in South Africa. You will partner with the broader Marketing and Communications community to create a cohesive, impactful internal narrative that supports engagement, change, and cross?unit collaboration.
Role and Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement the internal communications strategy aligned with Investec's business goals, values and culture.
Oversee the development of consistent messaging across all internal channels.
Manage multi-channel campaigns end-to-end, including stakeholder management, communications planning, content creation, and delivery through channels such as email, video, intranet content and staff town halls.
Build understanding of client segments and highlight activities, products and wins to the broader business and wider Group to support knowledge sharing and cross-selling.
Develop and manage the internal comms calendar, acting as 'air traffic control' to ensure messages land in a planned, streamlined manner and maximise impact.
Provide thought leadership and keep abreast of external thinking in internal communications.
Engage with the Senior Leadership Group and participate in forums to drive engagement across multiple business areas and regions.
Work closely with the broader Marketing team to ensure internal and external communications are aligned, and align with the broader Investec Group where relevant.
Help expand our internal comms network across the northern hemisphere and collaborate with counterparts in SA.
Play a key role in crisis communications preparation and planning.
Measure the outcomes of internal communications initiatives against quantitative and qualitative targets and budgets; identify success metrics and adapt plans accordingly.
Be an active and inclusive member of the communications team, encouraging collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Lead communications around change programmes, restructures, mergers or regulatory updates.
Use analytics and employee feedback to refine communications and channel mix, driving improvements across channels.
Stay abreast of best practices and emerging technologies in internal communications.
