Head Of Marketing Operations

London, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

About TallyMoney

We've built something special - we've turned gold into a global currency. Not metaphorically. Actual gold sitting in a Swiss vault that you can tap to buy coffee anywhere in the world. While banks play casino with your deposits, your TallyMoney account is real gold that's totally yours and your ticket to money self-sovereignty.

We need people who get why this matters. If you think not owning your money and watching your savings melt away in a "high-interest" account is brilliant, we're probably not for you. But if you're tired of the rigged game where banks own your money, privatise profits and socialise losses - welcome to the rebellion.

Our values aren't motivational poster bs:

We protect wealth when the incumbent system's designed to erode it We obsess over sound money because people deserve better than what banks offer Small team, massive ambitions, actually caring about each other Set ambitious targets and always keep pushing for best - comfortable companies don't change anything
Vision:

Sound Money for a Brighter Future

. Viva la revolucion!

Role Overview

Here's the TLDR:

We're looking for someone who loves making excellent marketing happen.

We need a Head of Marketing Operations who's equal parts operational maestro and digital marketing sharp-shooter. You'll love data-based performance - conversion rates, CPI, CPA, CAC, lifetime value - and know exactly which levers move the needle.

And when things slip? You'll call it out. Don't care if it's the CRO, Brand Director, or even the CEO - if someone's dropped the ball, you'll be the one saying so politely, professionally and resolutely.

Reporting to the CRO, and dotted to the Brand & Comms Director, you'll be the operational backbone of our marketing function with a focused team under you: Product Marketing Manager, two PPC contractors, and an external design agency. We expect this team to grow.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Marketing Operations Leadership

Be the execution engine:

Take campaign concepts (that you will have input on) from the Brand & Comms Director and operationalise them into multi-channel, measurable programmes that deliver

Drive operational excellence

Implement rigorous processes, SLAs, and accountability frameworks that ensure what's needed gets done on time, every time

Master the metrics

: Own all marketing analytics, attribution modelling, and reporting - if it can be measured, you're measuring it

Performance Marketing & Channel Management

Channel mastery

: Own and optimise all paid and organic acquisition channels - PPC, social, SEO, ASO, partnerships, the lot

Conversion obsession

: Continuously test, iterate, and improve every touchpoint in the marketing funnel

Speed to market

: Implement rapid testing frameworks that get campaigns live in days, not weeks

Performance accountability

: Drive relentless improvement in CPA and channel ROI

Technical excellence

: Lead marketing automation, tech stack optimisation, and martech implementation

Team & Stakeholder Management

Run a tight ship:

Manage and develop the marketing team with clear KPIs, regular 1:1s, and no tolerance for mediocrity

Cross-functional coordination

: Partner with Product, CRM, and Sales to ensure marketing activities align with broader revenue goals

Upward management

: Keep the CRO, and Brand Director informed, aligned, and moving at the right pace

Vendor management

: Oversee agencies, freelancers, and marketing technology partners to maximise value and minimise waste

Data & Intelligence

Attribution modelling

: Build sophisticated tracking systems that show exactly where every pound of revenue comes from

Testing infrastructure

: Implement A/B testing frameworks across all channels and touchpoints

Competitive intelligence

: Monitor competitor activities and market trends to identify opportunities

Reporting excellence

: Deliver clear, actionable insights to stakeholders at all levels

Budget optimisation

: Ruthlessly allocate spend to highest-performing channels and campaigns

Required Experience & Skills

Non-Negotiables:

4+ years in performance marketing with at least 2 years smashing marketing operations (preferably in fintech or similar regulated environment). We've intentionally kept this range low to provide space for young, hungry, and exceptional talent (make your case if you feel that's you) Proven track record of reducing CAC whilst scaling acquisition (show us the numbers) Deep expertise in digital marketing channels - if you can't personally run a PPC campaign or fix conversion or attribution tracking, this isn't for you. Your team will grow, but for now it's hands-on Experience managing and developing high-performing teams Rock-solid project management skills - you live and breathe Gantt charts, RACI matrices, and sprint planning Data fluency - attribution models and cohort analyses don't scare you

The Edge We're Looking For:

You've successfully taken a marketing team to operational excellence Track record of implementing marketing technology and automation at scale You get genuinely excited about conversion rate optimisation and funnel metrics Comfortable challenging senior stakeholders when timelines slip or strategies drift Experience in alternative finance, crypto, or precious metals sectors (bonus points)

What Success Looks Like:

Month 1: You've audited our entire marketing operation and identified quick wins Month 3: Best-in-class operational frameworks in place, team is happy, performing and campaigns are shipping on time Month 6: CPA targets are met, CAC is down, conversion rates up Month 12: Marketing operates like a Swiss watch - predictable, scalable, profitable and you're beginning to deliver that into new territories

What You Can Expect From Us

A competitive salary based on experience plus meaningful equity that could be life-changing The autonomy to build the marketing operations function your way A team that's hungry to perform and will enjoy your operational leadership Direct access to C-suite and real influence over marketing performance 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays Hybrid working (3 days minimum office, 2 maximum remote) - because great operations need face time and teams need their leaders on the ground The chance to revolutionise how people think about money (no pressure) A politically diverse and free-thinking environment. We believe in freedom of thought and speech so we're proud to have MAGA/MEGA/LibDem/Labour/Tory/Reform staff. We wear caps that say 'Make Gold Great Again' because we enjoy humour. If you can't build camaraderie with people who have 'insert political persuasion here' then we're not the place for you

The Reality Check

This role isn't for everyone. You'll have to make tough calls on what ships and what doesn't. But if you're the type who thrives on bringing order to chaos, who gets satisfaction from watching metrics improve week over week, who thrives on running a tight team, who loves the idea of 'sound money' and who genuinely believes that great execution beats great strategy every time - then we need to talk.
