The Role

We are seeking a Head of Operations with a proven track record to join our leadership team. This role is central to the efficient functioning of our business and encompasses responsibility for warehouse management, logistics, and purchasing. You will work closely with other departments to streamline processes, improve performance, and ensure the seamless delivery of goods to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Management:

Oversee all warehouse operations, ensuring efficient space planning, safety, and stock accuracy. Implement efficient inventory management practices and reduce wastage. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse that boost speed and efficiency whilst supporting rapidly shifting business demands

Logistics:

Manage the end-to-end logistics process, including planning, distribution, and transportation. Develop and maintain relationships with logistics providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery. Monitor supply chain performance and implement solutions for any issues.

Purchasing:

Develop and implement procurement strategies to support our business goals. Negotiate with suppliers to secure favourable terms and build long-term partnerships. Monitor market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings.

Leadership:

Lead and inspire our diverse operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability whilst identifying opportunities for team development. Set clear KPIs and regularly review team performance. Provide guidance, training, and support to staff to ensure operational excellence. Champion health and safety across the business

Essential Skills and Experience:

Proven experience in warehouse management, logistics, and purchasing. Knowledge of digital WMS systems and experience implementing such systems. Adaptable and resilient, with the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment Strong leadership and team management skills. Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Proficiency in using operations software Strong analytical skills with a background in forecasting, inventory management, and process improvement.
