Grade 8 Scale Point 22: FTE 33,699. Actual salary based on Term Time only: 28,384

Contract Type:

Full-Time - 37 hours per week Term Time only 39 weeks plus 4.4 re holiday (43.4 weeks total)



The nursery is open from 8.45am - 3.15pm. (This allows for time in the morning to set up and time after school to prepare)

Role Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate individual who shares the staff and Governing Body's belief that each child within our Pre-School and School is an individual and we are here to support and enable each and every one to reach their potential, whilst at the same time, enhance and enrich their love of learning with a diverse curriculum.

What You Need to Succeed

To be successful in this role you will need:

Essential Qualifications

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent Suggested: Level 3 Certificate in Childcare, Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education, or other relevant qualification in nursery work or childcare. GCSEs at grades 9 to 4 (A to C) including English and Maths

Essential Experience

Two years of working with children in a supervisor role in either a nursery/pre-school setting and/or a qualified teacher

Skills and knowledge

Good literacy and numeracy skills Good organisational skills Ability to build effective working relationships with pupils and adults Experience of creating inspiring learning for children Skills and expertise in understanding the needs of all pupils Knowledge of how to help adapt and deliver support to meet individual needs EYFS knowledge relevant to the role, and ability to apply this effectively in supporting colleagues and pupils Excellent verbal communication skills Active listening skills The ability to remain calm in stressful situations

Enjoyment of working with children Sensitivity and understanding, to help build good relationships with pupils A commitment to getting the best outcomes for all pupils and promoting the ethos and values of the school Commitment to maintaining confidentiality at all times Commitment to safeguarding pupils' wellbeing and equality
