About the Role:

As the Head of Reablement and Independence, you will spearhead efforts to enhance the independence of our residents through reablement, occupational therapy, and the utilization of assistive technologies. You will oversee a dedicated team of 122 professionals, driving both business-as-usual service delivery and innovative practice improvements. With a revenue budget of 3m, this role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of care provision in Slough
What you'll be doing:

Develop and implement strategies to promote independence and drive continuous improvement in service delivery.
Provide corporate leadership to ensure alignment with council priorities and foster a culture of excellence and innovation.
Manage resources effectively, prioritizing budgetary control to maximize value for residents.
Cultivate partnerships with stakeholders to streamline service delivery and support community empowerment.
Lead change management initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across the organization.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and uphold principles of equality and diversity.
What you'll have:
---------------------
Registered SW or OT with significant operational experience as well as
Strategic experience working with partners.
Experience of managing complex budgets.
Degree level education or equivalent experience.
Proven leadership experience in reablement and independence services.
Track record of strategic planning and successful implementation of change initiatives.
Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
Deep understanding of legislative frameworks and best practices in occupational therapy.

Annual increments, where applicable, are usually payable on 1st April each year, subject to six months service in the post, until the maximum spinal column point of the level has been reached. The payment of annual increments is not automatic and is subject to satisfactory performance as assessed by your Director.
