Full-Time | Permanent | Salary: 60,000 - 70,000 DOE + Bonus + Performance Incentive

Skirting World Ltd is one of the UK's leading manufacturers and suppliers of MDF mouldings, including skirting boards, architraves, and other interior finishing products. Known for our speed, quality, and innovation, we've grown rapidly in recent years and continue to push boundaries in both product offering and service delivery.

We are now seeking a senior Head of Sales & Business Development to take full ownership of our B2B sales strategy and lead national growth across property developers, contractors, and builders' merchants. This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for defining strategy, securing high value partnerships, and building a scalable sales function with direct impact on company performance.

About the Role:

This is a senior leadership position responsible for shaping and executing Skirting World's sales and business development strategy. The successful candidate will operate with a high level of autonomy, working closely with senior leadership to drive revenue growth, expand market presence, and establish long term commercial partnerships.

In addition to personally securing key accounts, you will be responsible for building and leading a high performing sales team as the business continues to scale. You will be accountable for setting targets, defining KPIs, and establishing scalable sales processes as the team grows.

Key Responsibilities:

Proactively identify, approach, and develop relationships with property developers, housebuilders, contractors, and builders' merchants

Focus on enhancing customer retention through the development of strong, personalised client relationships

Create and manage a robust pipeline of new business opportunities

Prepare and deliver tailored proposals, presentations, and pricing strategies to meet client needs

Negotiate and secure large-scale supply agreements and long-term contracts

Work closely with internal departments (production, logistics, and customer service) to ensure smooth delivery and ongoing client satisfaction

Build and develop an internal sales team as growth permits

Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events to represent the company and generate leads

Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market movements to inform sales strategy

Provide regular reports and updates to senior leadership on sales performance, forecasts, and growth opportunities

About You:

We're looking for a self-starter with a strong commercial instinct and deep understanding of the woodworking and construction industries. You'll be confident, personable, and highly motivated by results.

Proven experience leading a sales function is essential

Significant experience in senior B2B sales roles

A proven track record of securing and managing large accounts or supply contracts

Strong network or existing contacts within property development or merchant sectors

Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills

Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced office environment

Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and projects
