We have an exciting vacancy for a Head of SEND to join our Education team, working remotely reporting into the Chief Operating Office for Education. We're looking for someone who is motivated and who can handle full responsibility for strategic development and operational delivery of SEND provision across Aspris Schools and Colleges.
The Role:
We provide a holistic approach to SEND education which considers all relevant therapeutic interventions social and emotional enrichment and a variety of appropriate and accredited learning pathways. One of our strengths as an organisation is in the personal development of our pupils, and the post holder will need to work with settings to ensure that this best practice model is shared and evolved, in line with individual placement needs and all statutory paperwork.
This role will ensure that all learners receive high-quality, inclusive education tailored to their needs, this should be underpinned by our commitment to specialist trauma-informed practice, and autism-specific strategies.
What are we looking for?
Someone to lead the vision and strategy for SEND across the organisation, ensuring alignment with the overall mission and values.
Champion trauma-informed and autism-specific approaches across all settings and modalities.
Drive continuous improvement in SEND provision, pedagogy, and learner outcomes.
Direct oversight and support of the relevant in-service departments such as SENCO's and other relevant areas
Always striving to be ambitious and competitive in the Education Industry with an innovative approach that directly impacts the needs of our children to reach their potential
Work collaboratively to ensure services are ready for external inspections and audits.
Experience:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
National Award for SEN Coordination (or willingness to complete).
Significant experience in a senior SEND leadership role, ideally within a specialist or independent setting.
Deep understanding of a range of SEND profiles, including autism and SEMH.
