Job Summary:

To establish a team with capabilities that deliver a centre of excellence for financial analysis, enabling strategic decisions to navigate through changing conditions and environments, while still delivering on the Beazley Strategy. Support the on-going development of the financial components of Beazley's Corporate Strategic Plan both on a consolidated level as well as other relevant dimensions, so as to enable business improvement decisions to be made with confidence and accelerate value creation, utilising the relevant financial & regulatory information.

Key Responsibilities:



Leadership, Oversight & Communication



Lead and develop a high-performing Strategic Finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement as well as commercial acumen Own and drive cross-departmental collaboration, embodying and role-modelling 'One Finance'. Ensure that Finance is informed and represented on business wide projects and seen as business enablers to delivering strategic change Provide leadership, direction, and support to direct reports, managing a team across various locations, geographies, jurisdictions, and business entities, as well as through indirect leadership when engaging in cross-departmental projects & initiatives Proactively champion a strategic & continuous improvement mindset, identifying quick wins and long-term system enhancements and process automation opportunities Supporting the communication of the financial components of Beazley's Corporate Strategy to internal & external stakeholders. Support the development of impactful reports & presentations that enhance key stakeholders' understanding of the financial components of Beazley's Corporate Strategy

Financial Strategy Development



Responsible for supporting the development & execution of Beazley's medium to long-term financial strategies that align with the company's overall goals. This involves:

Market Analysis

: Continuously analysing market trends, economic conditions, and competitive landscapes to identify opportunities and threats.

Strategic Planning

: Developing comprehensive, integrated financial plans that support business growth, innovation, and sustainability. This includes proposing financial targets, identifying key performance indicators (KPIs), and creating roadmaps to achieve these goals - on a consolidated level for Beazley overall, as well as in the dimensions of entities and individual lines of business.

Resource Allocation

: Ensuring optimal allocation of financial resources to various projects and departments to maximize returns and support strategic initiatives.

Scenario Planning

: Conducting scenario analyses to prepare for potential future events and uncertainties, ensuring the company can adapt to changing conditions. Support the execution of Beazley's Financial targets and ambitions through identification of profitable business growth and earlier identification of underperforming lines of business. This will also involve: + Development of solvency forecasts (including stress & scenario testing to guide decision making) + Capital allocation/management proposals, incl. supporting organic growth, acquisitions etc.
+ Assisting on any external & internal capital related activities, including ownership of Beazley's capital structure

Education & Qualifications

University degree and professional accounting or actuarial qualification
