The Opportunity





We are looking for a dynamic leader to

shape and transform our talent strategy

, ensuring we attract, deploy and retain the very best people to drive our business forward.



In this role, you will own and deliver the

end-to-end talent acquisition strategy

across permanent, internal and contingent channels. You'll lead the shift towards a direct-hire model, optimise agency partnerships, and integrate permanent and contingent workforce planning in line with our business growth.



You'll be setting the vision and operating model for talent acquisition, activating our internal talent groups to increase mobility and redeployment, and partner with Procurement and Finance on an optimised approach to contingent labour.



You will be accountable for building the team, embedding robust processes and enhancing our brand.


Your Goal

: Ensure the business has the right people, in the right roles, at the right time, through the right channels -- delivering measurable improvements in cost, speed, quality, diversity and experience.



This role balances

operational excellence in recruitment delivery

with

strategic planning for future workforce needs

.


Location

: Hybrid -- 3 days a week in our T3 Birmingham office, 2 days from home.


What you will be doing




Lead, coach, and develop the recruitment team to deliver against hiring targets. Own key metrics: time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, quality of hire, and candidate experience. Partner with hiring managers to understand role requirements and ensure smooth, efficient processes. Oversee recruitment technology, compliance, and process optimisation. Manage our PSL and ensure we have partners who truly collaborate and add value to our business Develop and implement a

12-24 month talent acquisition strategy

aligned with business growth. Build and manage talent pipelines for critical roles and future skill gaps. Lead employer branding initiatives and strengthen the employee value proposition. Partner with business leaders on

workforce planning and succession planning

. Use data and market insights to anticipate hiring trends, risks, and opportunities. Drive inclusion within recruitment practices. Build a healthy pipeline of talent for our business-critical roles.

What we need from you




Proven track record in leading both

recruitment operations

and

strategic talent acquisition

. Experience building and managing recruitment teams. Strong knowledge of workforce planning, employer branding, and talent mapping. Data-driven mindset: able to translate insights into action. Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills. Influencer/coach to senior leaders; sets clear standards and holds teams and suppliers to account. Comfortable balancing

short-term delivery

with

long-term strategy

.
