We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Head Server to lead our front-of-house team in delivering exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of restaurant operations, and a passion for hospitality. This role involves overseeing service standards, managing staff, and ensuring smooth restaurant operations to provide memorable dining experiences for our guests.
Duties
Supervise and coordinate the activities of the serving staff to ensure efficient service delivery
Assist in training new team members on food safety, service procedures, and guest relations
Take orders from guests, serve food and beverages promptly, and ensure customer satisfaction
Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities while maintaining excellent guest service
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the dining area
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and presentation
Handle guest complaints or concerns professionally and resolve issues promptly
Monitor service quality and provide feedback to team members for continuous improvement
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Experience
Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant settings, ideally in a supervisory or leadership role
Strong background in serving within a busy restaurant environment
Knowledge of food safety standards and food preparation processes
Experience with kitchen operations or culinary practices is advantageous
Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Demonstrated ability in guest services, upselling, and creating positive dining experiences
Basic maths skills for handling bills and transactions
Familiarity with food safety regulations and procedures in a hospitality setting
