Just Camps is seeking an enthusiastic Camp Manager to lead our coaching team in
Burford
area during the school holidays for 2025 and beyond. Our coaches are passionate about providing children with opportunities to develop their personalities and learn new skills in a range of sports. We are also looking for support Group Coaches to assist in the running of the camp.
Role Overview:
The Camp Manager role in Burford is crucial, involving the management of a Just Camps site and overseeing the full day-to-day running of activities. This includes liaising with parents and coaches to create an environment where both kids and coaches can thrive. A significant part of this role at times is the management of the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) provision, where you will take the lead in ensuring that our HAF funded families are supported throughout their sessions (https://www.haf-it.co.uk/). Experiece of running programmes is essential and confidence to manage a busy camp.
Responsibilities:
Lead structured sports sessions for children aged 4-16 years old.
Create a safe, engaging, and fun environment for campers.
Manage and support the HAF provision, ensuring compliance and effective operation.
Build positive relationships with campers, ensuring their needs are met.
Represent Just Camps with professionalism, maintaining high standards.
Key Requirements:
Availability for training prior to the camp start.
Level 3 or equivalent coaching/degree level.
Experience working with children.
Current DBS certification.
Paediatric First Aid certification.
Level 3 Safeguarding and Food Hygiene certifications (training provided by Just Camps if not already certified).
Passion for health, fitness, and child development.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Preferred:
Level 3 coaching/degree or equivalent.
Access to own transport.
Compensation:
Camp Manager: 650 per week
Daily bonus scheme per child (sliding scale between 75p-2 per child)
