We are a nurturing and ambitious independent special school located in the heart of

Handsworth, Birmingham

, dedicated to supporting children and young people aged 7 - 16 with

Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC)

and associated needs. Our school provides a safe, structured, and inclusive environment where every pupil is empowered to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.


The Role:





We are seeking an

inspirational and experienced Headteacher

to lead our school into its next phase of growth and development. This is a unique opportunity to shape the strategic direction of a specialist provision and make a lasting impact on the lives of pupils with autism spectrum conditions and associated learning needs.



As Headteacher, you will:


Provide visionary leadership and uphold the school's ethos of compassion, inclusion, and high expectations Lead and develop a skilled multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement Ensure the highest standards of teaching, learning, and safeguarding Work closely with families, external professionals, and the wider community to support holistic outcomes for pupils Drive innovation in curriculum design and therapeutic approaches tailored to ASC Maintain compliance with independent school standards and regulatory frameworks (e.g. Ofsted, Independent School Standards, SEND Code of Practice)

About You:





We're looking for someone who is:


A qualified teacher with substantial leadership experience in a special school or SEN setting Passionate about inclusive education and experienced in working with children with ASC A confident communicator and strategic thinker with a strong understanding of SEND legislation Committed to building a positive, trauma-informed school culture Skilled in managing resources, staff development, and school improvement planning
