Up to 35,000 DOE
Full Time - 40 hours per week
4 days per week, plus 1 in 5 Saturday mornings (8:30am-2:00pm)

Are you an experienced and motivated Veterinary Nurse ready to take the next step in your career? We're looking for an enthusiastic Head Veterinary Nurse to lead our dedicated nursing team at Homefield Road Veterinary Surgery in Haverhill.
This is an exciting opportunity to combine clinical excellence with leadership, helping to develop our team and shape the way we deliver care across both our Hawkedon and Homefield branches. You'll join a friendly, supportive team that works collaboratively to provide the best possible care for our patients, clients, and each other.

Role Details



As Head Veterinary Nurse, you'll play a central role in the day-to-day running of the practice and the professional development of the nursing team. You'll work closely with our management team to maintain high standards of clinical care, streamline processes, and support a positive working culture.
Your responsibilities will include:Leading, inspiring, and developing the nursing team Overseeing daily clinical operations and rota coordination Driving high standards of patient care and client communication Supporting and mentoring Student Veterinary Nurses Helping to shape practice policies and protocols Maintaining hands-on clinical duties as part of the team You will work 40 hours per week over 4 days, with a 1 in 5 Saturday morning rota (8:30am-2:00pm).

About You

RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse with solid clinical experience Passionate about teamwork, patient care, and developing others Organised, proactive, and confident in managing people and processes Keen to contribute ideas and help drive the practice forward
