Head Veterinary Nurse – Twickenham

London, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

Brand new clinic. Real leadership opportunity. A chance to build something properly.

If you are ready to lead, not just cope

If you are an experienced RVN who knows you can offer more, or a Head Nurse who wants the chance to shape a clinic from day one rather than inherit problems, this could be the fresh start you have been waiting for.

The Opportunity

We are working with a newly launched, purpose-built clinic in Twickenham, that has been designed with one clear intention: to create a place where nurses are listened to, properly supported, and genuinely involved in how the clinic runs.

This is not about keeping the wheels turning. It is about building standards, culture, and systems the right way from the outset. You will step into a true Head Nurse position with the authority to lead, influence, and develop a nursing team that is proud of the care it delivers.

You will work closely with the veterinary team to shape patient pathways, embed best practice, and make full use of bespoke veterinary technology in a modern, thoughtfully designed space.

Why This Role Is Different

A clinic built around quality, not shortcuts

This is a brand new environment with state-of-the-art facilities and carefully chosen technology. No outdated workflows. No inherited bad habits. You help define how things are done.

Leadership with trust and autonomy

You will lead, mentor, and develop the nursing team, with real input into protocols, equipment use, and day-to-day operations. This is a role where your judgement matters.

Technology that supports care

Bespoke veterinary systems are already in place to streamline workflows, improve patient outcomes, and reduce unnecessary admin, giving you more time to focus on nursing and leadership.

A positive, collaborative culture

The focus is on teamwork, clear communication, and creating an environment where people enjoy coming to work and feel respected for their expertise.
