designed to support children and young people for whom physical school attendance is not possible. Combining academic excellence with

trauma-informed, flexible online delivery

, this school will set a new standard in inclusive education.


We are seeking an experienced and values-driven

Headteacher

to establish and lead this pioneering provision, shaping its vision, culture, and practice from the outset.

The Role

Reporting to the Director of Education Services, the Headteacher will: Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Online School Establish a strong, inclusive, and trauma-informed school culture Ensure high-quality teaching, curriculum, and assessment Lead safeguarding, SEND provision and pupil wellbeing Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements Build strong partnerships with families, professionals, and stakeholders

Essential

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) NPQH or equivalent leadership qualification Senior leadership experience in a school, special school, or online setting Strong knowledge of safeguarding, regulation, and inspection frameworks A clear commitment to inclusive, ethical, and trauma-informed practice

Desirable

Experience of online education or school start-up Knowledge of SEND and therapeutic approaches
