HEALTH CARE ASSISTANT 24 hours - Permanent Band 2 - Emergency Orthopaedic Unit
A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for individuals to join the team within the Surgical, Women's and Children's Division as a Clinical Support Worker.
Under the direction of the Sister/Charge Nurse you will help us to ensure that we provide a clean, safe and comfortable environment for our patients.
You will need to possess good communication and interpersonal skills. A polite and courteous manner towards patients and relatives will be essential for this role, together with your ability to work under pressure, as part of a team as well as organising your own workload.
Previous hospital experience is desirable but not essential as training will be provided to ensure you have the skills required to fulfil the position.

Please note that whilst the trust does offer sponsorship this role isunfortunately not eligible for visa sponsorshipunder the UK Health and Care Worker visa route. This is due to the position not meeting theminimum salary threshold of 25,000 per annumand/or the requiredskill levelset by UK Visas and Immigration.

Main duties of the job
CLINICAL:o Work within the ward/department setting, providing high quality, caring, compassionate and personal care to patients and their families/carerso Work under the direction of the Registered Healthcare Professionals and senior colleagues, both independently and as part of the multi- disciplinary team.o Under the direction of a Registered Health Care Professional ensure a high standard of service provision within ward/department, by practicing effective clinical and administrative preparation, effective communication and care delivery, prioritising workload appropriately and contributing to service improvementso Participate in giving compassionate high quality personal care to patients prioritising appropriately and developing competencies that safeguard practiceo Act always in a manner, which illustrates respect for privacy, dignity, equality, diversity, and confidentiality.o Always exhibit a professional attitude behaviour and demonstrate excellent customer care skills.o Contribute to effective team working by being fully involved, committed, and participating towards achieving own and others full potential.o Develop positive relationships with patients, families, and carers.
